1. Simple Present Tense

 Rumus: 

•  Positif : Subjek + Verb 1 (s/es untuk subjek orang ketiga tunggal) 

•  Negatif : subjek + do/does + not + v1

•  Introgative : do/does + subjek + v1? 

    Penggunaan: 

   - Menyatakan kebiasaan atau rutinitas.

   - Menyatakan fakta umum atau kebenaran yang berlaku.   

Contoh:  

  Positive : 

   - She drinks coffee every morning.

   - The sun rises in the east. 

Kalimat Negatif:

   - She does not (doesn't) like coffee.

(She tidak suka kopi.)

   -They do not (don't) play football on Sundays.

(They tidak bermain sepak bola pada hari Minggu.)

Kalimat Introgatif:

   -Does she like coffee?

(Apakah dia suka kopi?)

   -Do they play football on Sundays?

(Apakah mereka bermain sepak bola pada hari Minggu?)

Penjelasan:

Untuk subjek "he", "she", "it", kita menggunakan does diikuti bentuk dasar kata kerja. Contohnya: Does she like coffee?

Untuk subjek "I", "you", "we", "they", kita menggunakan do diikuti bentuk dasar kata kerja. Contohnya: Do they play football on Sundays?

Intinya, perbedaan antara "do" dan "does" terletak pada subjek yang digunakan.

2. Present Continuous Tense

   Rumus: 

•  Positif : Subjek + is/am/are + Verb-ing  

•  Negatif : subjek + is/am/are + not + verb-ing

•  Introgative : is/am/are + subjek + verb-ing? 

 Penggunaan: 

   - Menunjukkan sesuatu yang sedang berlangsung saat ini.

   - Mengungkapkan rencana yang pasti terjadi di masa depan.  

   Contoh:  

  Positif : 

 - She is drinking coffee now.

 - They are leaving for vacation next week.

Kalimat Negatif:

 -She is not (isn't) reading a book right now.

 -They are not (aren't) playing football at the moment.

Kalimat Interrogative:

  -Is she reading a book right now?

  -Are they playing football at the moment?

Penjelasan:

• Present Continuous Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan tindakan yang sedang berlangsung saat ini.
• Rumusnya: Subject + is/am/are + Verb-ing.
• Untuk kalimat negatif, tambahkan "not" setelah is/am/are, dan untuk kalimat interrogative, is/am/are diletakkan di awal kalimat.

3. Present Perfect Tense

   Rumus: 

Positif: Subject + has/have + past participle

Negatif: Subject + has/have + not + past participle

Interrogatif: Has/Have + subject + past participle?

   Penggunaan: 

   - Menyatakan tindakan yang selesai namun dampaknya masih terasa sekarang.

   - Untuk menceritakan pengalaman hidup.  

   Contoh:  

 Positif : 

  - I have visited Paris three times.

  - She has finished her homework.

Negatif :

  -She has not finished her homework yet.

  -They have not seen that movie before.

Introgative : 

  -Have you visited the new museum?

  -Has he already called you?

4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense

   Rumus: 

Positif: Subject + has/have been + present participle (verb+ing)

Negatif: Subject + has/have not been + present participle (verb+ing)

Interrogatif: Has/Have + subject + been + present participle (verb+ing)?

   - Menyatakan tindakan yang dimulai di masa lalu dan masih berlangsung hingga saat ini.

   - Menekankan durasi dari tindakan tersebut.  

   Contoh:  

Positif : 

   - She has been drinking coffee for two hours.

   - They have been working on this project since morning. 

Negatif : 

  -She has not been studying for three hours.

  -They have not been working on the project recently.

Introgative : 

  -Has she been studying for three hours?

  -Have they been working on the project since last month?

Present perfect continuous tense sering digunakan untuk menekankan durasi atau kontinuitas dari suatu tindakan yang masih relevan hingga saat ini.

Berikut adalah contoh kalimat masing-masing 5 dari tense di atas

 1. Simple Present Tense

   - He plays football every weekend.

   - They still visit their grandparents during the holidays.

   - The train arrives at 7 PM every day.

   - The boiling point of water is 100 degrees Celsius.

   - Cats sleep for almost three-quarters of the day.

 2. Present Continuous Tense

   - She is reading a book now.

   - They are cooking dinner at the moment.

   - This week, I am studying for exams.

   - The kids are playing in the yard.

   - He is leaving for New York next Monday.

 3. Present Perfect Tense

   - I have already finished my assignment.

   - They have visited Japan twice this year.

   - She has never tried sushi.

   - We have just returned from the trip.

   - He has lived in this city for five years.

 4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense

   - She has been learning French for three months.

   - They have been working on this project since January.

   - He has been jogging every morning for the past week.

   - We have been waiting for the bus for 20 minutes.

   - I have been watching that TV series since it first aired.
